AEGEE-Enschede is the organizing department, or local, of the Spring Agora 2017. Being one of the main student associations in Enschede, AEGEE-Enschede has over 325 members.

AEGEE-Enschede was established on April 2, 1987, by a group of 20 enthusiastic students. The association has grown to become one of the largest student organizations in Enschede with as many as 325 members. AEGEE-Enschede is one of AEGEE’s largest locals. In 1996 AEGEE-Enschede also opened its own pub, named Asterion, in Enschede’s city center. Here members are able to discuss current issues while enjoying a beer and provides a location for nice parties.

To experience true student life, AEGEE-Enschede organizes many different activities. Aside from the parties in Asterion, AEGEE-Enschede also offers its members the opportunity to broaden their horizon by becoming a member of a committee or by visiting an AEGEE-event in Enschede or abroad.

AEGEE-Enschede is an active association on a local level, with committees, year clubs and “vertical” clubs, such as the various fraternities and sororities, but AEGEE-Europe is also an important opportunity for the members of AEGEE-Enschede. The association is proud to be the host of one of the main events of AEGEE-Europe, the Spring Agora Enschede 2017.
