Visa letter final version

####
####> Visa letter final version
####

Hello everybody,
This email contains the final version of the visa letter attached. We will send this tomorrow through postal service to you (unless you indicated you only require a digital version).

##> Delivery duration
You can check the duration of the delivery on the following link:
https://www.postnl.nl/versturen/pakket-versturen/pakket-buitenland/buitenlandse-verzendvoorwaarden/verzendvoorwaarden-per-land/
Unfortunately, I was unable to find this information in English, the following PDF contains the information (accessible through the above link as well)
https://www.postnl.nl/Images/Overkomstduur_tcm10-22041.pdf?version=3
Please look for your country and check the priority column. If this is not in time for you please contact us as soon as possible to see if we can offer you an extra fast delivery (the extra costs of this will be on you).

##> Payment
If you have already paid the fee, awesome!
If not, the following is for you:
By now the credit card payment option in the webshop is live and working, if you have not yet done so give it a try! (make sure you select visa as participant option!) If that does not work for you please see if you can ask a friend to pay for you. If that is not possible contact us at visa@agoraenschede.org.

##> Check your letter
As always, please check the following:

Attached to this email is a personal invitation letter in .pdf for the Agora, it is very important to check this carefully. You should read it to be aware of its content and especially check if your information in the letter is correct. The letter is made using the data from zeus (from your application) and using a technique called mail merging to place your personal information in a template letter.
Please take special care in checking the following:
#> The start and end date of the visa (this is when you first enter and leave a Schengen country)
#> The embassy to which the letter is directed
#> Please check if the address is correctly split over lines (this was very hard for us since we cannot read the address 🙂 )
#> Your personal information, every field should be identical to what is on your passport.

##> Visa mail log
Finally, especially for the newly included people, you can find a mail log of all the emails send on our website: https://agoraenschede.org/participants/information-mails/visa-mails/
Please read the earlier emails as well, if you have not yet done so.

##> Questions?
If you have questions please have a look at the FAQ section first, if that does not answer your questions send an email to visa@agoraenschede.org

Visa mail – 3

####
####> Visa letter version 3
####

Hello everybody,
A new visa email! 😀

##> Fixes:
– The letter is not with official Agora Enschede letter background (the same as the physical letter will be printed on!)
– Signatures are added!
– In some cases, we have updated the dates
– Removed a trailing ‘(‘

##> Payment
We have looked further in the payment situation and have been working on enabling a new payment option: credit card. This payment option should be available hopefully by tomorrow (we are currently waiting for the payment gateway to process our request). Please check if this is possible for you and if possible pay the fee using this method, even if you have previously sent us your participation proof (ie flight tickets). It is easier for us to manage if as much as possible goes through our webshop.

If paying with a credit card is still not an option for you, the following agreement still holds:
If you can provide us with proof of participation (flight tickets would be best for this) you can pay the fee on arrival (€55,-). Thus to confirm your participation please send your proof to visa@agoraenschede.org.

##> Check your letter
This counts for everyone, but especially for the people that have not yet received a visa email earlier, please check the following:

##> Physical letter
We will soon send you the physical letter, we will be assuming that all letters are checked and correct at that point (you will receive a final email giving you one last chance to check before that). However, if having a digital version of our invitation letter is enough for you please inform us of this (If you did so already I would kindly like to ask you to do so again).

Visa mail – 2

####
####> Visa letter v2
####

Hello everybody,

First of I want to say I messed up the subject line of the previous email, sorry for that 🙂
Secondly: The new version of the visa letter is attached.

##> Fixes:
– Leading zeros are now correctly kept.
– Passport issuing date is no longer identical to the expiration date.
– Some embassy address fixes.

Please keep in mind that all of these documents are made using a single template, therefore I was unable to resolve some conflicting feedback (in formatting), this however did not seem to bit of an issue. Please let me know if it is.

##> Payment
We were made aware of some payment issues experienced by you, therefore we have agreed on the following arrangement: If you can provide us with proof of participation (flight tickets would be best for this) you can pay the fee on arrival (€55,-). Thus to confirm your participation please send your proof to visa@agoraenschede.org.

##> Signatures
Finally, I am aware of your requests for adding the signatures to the letter, however I am unable to do this right now. I decided to send this improved version of the visa letter first, and follow up with a more complete version including signatures and official Agora letter paper later.

See you soon!

Visa mail – 1

####
####> Visa information
####

Dear visa participant,
In this email we want to inform you about the visa procedure and initiate the process.

We would like to make you aware of our visa page on our website where the entire process is laid out, we recommend you to read it fully. Additionally, there is a visa section at the FAQ page.
https://agoraenschede.org/participants/visa/
https://agoraenschede.org/participants/faq/

##> First checks
Receiving this email means that you have indicated that you are in need of a visa when applying through zeus. Please let us know if you are not in need of a visa, but also if you know of someone else who is in need of a visa but did not indicate so or did not receive this email. You can find out if you need a visa on our visa page.

##> Visa procedure in short
Taken from our visa page:
To apply for a visa you need to fill in an application form and bring this form along with possible other documents (identification) to a Dutch embassy. We will send you a personal invitation letter to accompany this application and increase the success rate. Applying for such a visa in most cases requires being physically present at the embassy at one point, to verify your identity. After you have done this you will get the result and know whether you can enter the Netherlands or not. Further official information can be found here:
https://www.government.nl/topics/visa-for-the-netherlands-and-the-caribbean-parts-of-the-kingdom

##> Confirming your participation
Confirming your participation of the Agora goes just as for non-visa applicants, with the one difference that you are allowed to choose ‘visa’ as the participant type, giving you a €5,- discount! If you run into problems with your payment be sure to let us know well in time.

##> Next step
If you find changes are needed please respond to this email with the new or corrected information no later than tuesday April 11. After this we will send you our final letter through email and through postal services after which it is up to you to complete the visa request.

##> More information
If you are looking for more information have a look at the following sites:

##> IMPORTANT NOTICE <##
At the very moment of writing the dutch government decided to overhaul the sites of the embassies. This resulted in dead links and missing information, making it very hard for us to find information about the embassies, it is an extreme inconvenience. We ask all of you to take this in consideration and help us with this problem. Because of this, please check if the address of the embassy is correct and maybe try to find information in your local language, let us hope the government fixes this as fast as possible.
