what to bring to Spring Agora Enschede 2023

In general, we recommend using the 9292 app to plan your journey when traveling from destinations in the Netherlands or from German train stations close to Enschede. You can enter ‘UT/Sportcentrum, Enschede’ into the app as your destination to get a route all the way to the gym.

General

Documentation

  • Passport or ID card
  • Ticket(s) for your journey
  • Insurance (if you have it)
  • Visa (if you need it)

Means of payment

  • Maestro and Vpay are accepted, check out “Enschede and the Netherlands” in the FAQ for more info. This is mostly for parties, as the food, accommodation and transportation to/from events are taken care of.
    • Cash (euro’s, as back-up if your card isn’t a generally accepted one)

Bedding for sleeping in the gym

  • (Air) mattress (will also be available for purchase in advance via the local organisers)
  • Sleeping bag for 20°C (can also be purchased in advance via the local organisers here)

Toiletries

  • Toothbrush + toothpaste
      • Soap/shampoo
      • Personal towel 
      • Deodorant
      • Other (hair products, lenses, make-up etc,)

Clothing

  • General clothing to slip into for 5 mornings
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Lanyard/Keycord (b.y.o. for sustainability, the local organisers will provide if you don’t have one)

Medication for at least 6 days (if necessary)

Personal cup and/or bottle

  • To drink coffee, tea, water, etc. out during the day (tap water is drinkable)

Extra clothing

  • Set of rainproof clothing (Dutch May is unpredictable)
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen (also Dutch May)
  • Cool outfits for 5 nights of social program
  • Decent suit with accompanying ties (one per day) for during the meetings
  • Fun shoes & socks

Electronics

  • Phone
  • Laptop (handy if you’re a delegate, if not then don’t bother ;))
  • Accompanying chargers
  • Powerbank (there is much more to do than waiting at an outlet and charging isn’t always convenient)

Comfort

  • Pillow
  • Playing cards
  • Earplugs (both for parties and for sleeping)
  • Paracetamol/aspirin (for hangovers)
  • Condoms

  • Typical snacks and food of your local’s nationality
  • Typical drinks of your local’s nationality (if containing liquor, limited to one bottle per person)
